The “Museum” Program Launched in Yeghegnadzor
The “Nor Nakhijevan” Humanitarian Fund has launched its new initiative — the “Museum” Program. The program is designed to foster the continuous development of museums’ material and technical resources, as well as the enrichment of their collections. The first implementation of the program took place at the Yeghegnadzor Regional Museum of Vayots Dzor.
On August 15, 2025, the museum hosted the inaugural event of the program. Participants included Mher Hovhannisyan, Director of the Foundation, Karine Stepanyan, Director of the Museum, as well as staff members of the museum and the regional administration.
As part of the program, the Foundation donated six tablets to the museum, which will be used to integrate modern information technologies. These devices will allow visitors to watch educational animated films and other visual materials prepared by the museum, presenting the history of selected exhibits.
In his congratulatory remarks, Mher Hovhannisyan, Director of the Foundation, stated:
“The launch of the ‘Museum’ program is symbolic, as it unites the preservation of our historical and cultural heritage with modern technologies. On this occasion, I would also like to convey the greetings and best wishes of Harutyun Surmalyan, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.”
In turn, Karine Stepanyan, Director of the Museum, expressed her gratitude for the initiative, noting:
“This gift is not only material support for us but also a new platform to present our collection to visitors in a more engaging and accessible way.”
Thus, the “Museum” Program of the “Nor Nakhijevan” Humanitarian Fund has made its first step in Yeghegnadzor, with the aim of extending to other museums across Armenia in the future.
