“Children’s Celebration” in Gyumri: Charitable Event Dedicated to International Children’s Day
On June 2, the “Nor Nakhichevan” Humanitarian Foundation carried out a humanitarian program titled “Children’s Celebration”, dedicated to International Children’s Day. The celebration took place at the “Shirak Regional Child and Family Support Center” SNCO, in a warm atmosphere filled with cultural content.
The event was attended by 24 children aged 2 to 7, for whom the foundation had organized a joyful and memorable day. Especially for this occasion, at the invitation of the foundation, the “Tsil” Puppet Studio from Artsakh, led by Artistic Director Armen Gabrielyan, performed the fairy tale “Barekendan” free of charge.
During the performance, the children took part in traditional games and danced Armenian folk dances, creating a lively, cultural, and educational environment.
At the end of the event, representatives of the foundation handed out eagerly awaited gift bags, which included soft toys, art supplies, and educational games.
The foundation also donated educational games to the center, as well as interactive maps of Armenia and the world, which will be used in the children’s learning process.
“These kinds of initiatives are not just festive programs for us. They are an opportunity to connect with our young compatriots, support them, immerse them in cultural experiences, and share a sense of warmth. We believe that every child deserves to live protected and at the center of attention,” noted the foundation’s director, Mher Hovhannisyan.
Four volunteers from Gyumri were actively involved in the implementation of the program.
The program was carried out within the framework of a cooperation memorandum signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the “Nor Nakhichevan” Humanitarian Fund.
Acting Director of the Center, Lamara Abrahamyan, expressed her gratitude to the foundation for its professional approach, care, and warmth, emphasizing that such programs inspire not only the children but also the entire staff of the center, reminding everyone how important our children are to all layers of society.
This format of the program was implemented for the first time, but it is planned to become ongoing.
